2024 NHRA Four-Wide Nationals Recap:

N/A

Last Event (Pomona 1):

Qualified 12th; First round exit (defeated by Shawn Langdon in E1)

Note:

Zetterström did not compete at the most recent event in Las Vegas. She is currently running a partial schedule due to insufficient funding and is actively seeking partners for 2025 and beyond

Noteworthy:

  • The 2025 Charlotte Four-Wide Nationals marks Zetterström’s first event competing in a four-wide style race

  • The multi-time European drag racing champion returns to the NHRA tour this weekend after missing the Las Vegas four-wide event due to lack of funding. While Zetterström would prefer to compete in the full slate of Mission Foods Series races, she has been working hard to represent the NHRA and JCM Racing organization via various events including attending the Bristol, Tenn. NASCAR race where she appeared on the FOX broadcast, and traveling to NYC this week to participate in the Business of Women’s Sports Summit where she spoke on a panel of female athletes and business owners

  • Zetterström has one previous zMAX Dragway appearance, having competed in the Charlotte 2 event in 2024

Quotable:

“Super excited to be back out at the track this weekend. It is going to be my first four-wide ever, which adds a whole new element for me since I don’t have any prior experience racing four-across, but it’ll be exciting. Very happy to be back in the car. I didn't like sitting out, but I feel like we made the most out of the situation. During Vegas weekend, I actually went to Bristol to promote the upcoming NHRA race there on the NASCAR scene which got a ton of traction, and that's really good for our sport and our brand. We have been spending a lot of time in the shop working on our program and really want to see how that translates on the track, so I feel like I’m bringing a lot of excitement into this weekend and hoping we are going to be able to have our strongest outing yet.”

ALEXIS DEJORIA

Last Event (Las Vegas 1):

DNQ

Career Statistics:

239 races; six wins, six No. 1 qualifiers

Noteworthy:

  • As a previous zMAX Dragway event finalist and No. 1 qualifier, DeJoria is seeking a rebound weekend in Charlotte after an unlikely DNQ at the most recent event in Las Vegas

  • Previous four-wide success includes advancing to the final elimination quad at the 2022 Las Vegas event and a runner-up finish at the 2023 Charlotte four-wide event

Quotable:

“Looking forward to our second four-wide of the season. Our last race in Vegas, we had a thrill ride that didn’t end in our favor, unfortunately, but it’s early in the season. We have plenty more races to go. We’re a new team and we’re working all the bugs out right now. I went up to Indy earlier this week and spent a full day of testing out at IRP on Tuesday, so we feel well-prepared for the race weekend ahead.”
